Industrial Hygienist, Washington DC
Consolidated Safety Services, Inc. (CSS) has an opening for an Industrial Hygienist to provide IH support services on two federal contracts. The position is located in Washington, DC and requires some local travel.
Job duties will include: conducting health and safety inspection and audits, evaluating and recommending personal protective equipment, performing exposure monitoring, evaluating local exhaust ventilation systems, evaluating confined spaces, performing ergonomic assessments, completing confined space and hot work permits, evaluating machines for proper guarding, performing job safety analyses, evaluating equipment for hazardous energy and conducting training for small groups.
Requirements
The successful candidate will be a United States citizen and have a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational or Industrial Safety, Industrial Hygiene or other closely related discipline (ie. Biology or other Science, Engineering) with professional experience preferred, but not mandatory. An active or past federal security clearance is a huge plus. If employed, the individual will be required to submit to a thorough background investigation to obtain a high level security clearance.
