More Than Two Decades of Service
CSS was incorporated in 1988, to identify and resolve safety, health, and environmental issues for private and government sector clients, functioning under a single Division for Environmental, Safety & Health. The following year, CSS expanded into a second Division for Transportation Safety & Security and was awarded its first multi-million dollar contract with the Department of Defense. Within a few years, CSS science-based staff expanded to form the third Division, Scientific Programs to support a variety of technical and administrative services, and to assist in the development, management, and administration of science-based programs.
Expanding from and integrated into all Division services, are our centers of excellence for Information Technology providing software development and data management, and Training and Media Services providing instructional design and training, communications and public outreach, contact and call centers, and event and exhibit planning.
